Energy modernisation through nano-ceramic technology
Located in Seville, one of the European cities with the highest levels of solar radiation, Torre Triana faced the challenge of improving indoor comfort in its administrative spaces while preserving the architectural identity that defines this iconic institutional building.
The significant heat gains caused by solar radiation affected occupant comfort and increased the energy demand associated with cooling systems.
The objective was to reduce the thermal load on the glazed façades without causing significant visual changes to the building’s exterior.
To achieve this, Solarcheck installed Sentinel Plus QXN40 window film, an advanced nano-ceramic technology capable of rejecting up to 72% of total solar energy (TSER), blocking up to 86% of infrared radiation and filtering more than 99.9% of UV rays, while maintaining a neutral appearance without a mirror effect.
The installation significantly reduced the perceived temperature in areas close to the façade, improved visual comfort at workstations and optimised the performance of the HVAC systems.
Thanks to the film’s high spectral selectivity, the building maintains good levels of natural light while limiting heat transmission.
The result is a tangible improvement in energy efficiency, occupant well-being and operational sustainability, aligned with the objectives of modernisation and responsible management of public assets.
